LISA DENNING
Producer and Founder
I am an adventurer, photographer, mermaid, writer, and lover of all things ocean. I have always been a water being, as it is where I come alive and feel most connected to the truth of who I am.

I grew up in New Orleans and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii in 1999. My soul was calling me to spend more time in the ocean and follow my dream of being with dolphins and whales. During my first swim on the island, I was surrounded by a pod of dolphins and welcomed into their world. This began a beautiful friendship with the dolphin pods, swimming together daily, diving deeper into parts of myself.
These experiences launched me into photography as I was inspired to share both the personal connections I was having with the cetaceans and also witnessing with others.
For the last 25 years,I have been traveling around the world meeting many species of dolphins and whales while capturing these magical moments on film and in photographs.
My work has been featured in variety of magazines, books, and award winning documentaries and films.
I am also the co-founder of Light ON Foundation in Kona, which provides healing opportunities for survivors of trauma. I am passionate about introducing others to our ocean family and have been an ocean guide and retreat facilitator in many locations around the world including Tahiti, Bahamas, and Dominican Republic.
The dolphins and whales are choosing to make contact with humans more and more. We have so much to learn from these magnificent beings.
My hope is that through these films and projects with Trinity Rose that we all discover more of the magic of who we truly are.

Life never ceases to amaze me as just when I think that I found a new truth, another level of truth opens which blows my mind. Living for over half a century now, I realize that life is meant to be enjoyed along the way and that I truly know nothing. My favorite way of viewing this life is as a child with awe, wonder, joy, and simplicity.

Living lifetimes within lifetimes, I am constantly learning and exploring new realms. Growing up in California and Texas, I experienced the matrix of this illusion in a variety of ways. Having many mystical experiences, the more I looked within myself is when they began to make sense. I have had many teachers and wayshowers...the whales especially.
​
Writing, speaking, teaching, and co-leading retreats have allowed me to follow my bliss. As the creativity turned into putting together a mind-expanding documentary and publishing books, a whole new realm of possibilities opened. The world is ready to discover the deeper truths of humanity.
On a purely physical level, I have experiences of being a firefighter/paramedic for over 20 years, a therapist, mother, wife, farmer, ocean swim guide, retreat leader, author, teacher, producer, screen writer, and editor. I love to explore the mind, read, tinker, travel, swim, and be in nature.
